hi dancers.I hope you haven't been to affected by the school's sudden decision (and boy, do i mean sudden) decision to cancel Dance Night '10. I guess we're all really disappointed about that, especially when the decision was made, just. like. that. :(
Please don't be too sad, even though I know I am, & especially the sec4s. Don't lose hope in Cedar Dance, and please continue to believe that we're awesome. Cos we really are. I guess this year is really a tough year for the school too, being the first year back at the new campus, with new facilities like the plush auditorium, and new approaches to promoting the cedar arts scene, like Arts Fest '10. Let's not hang our heads low about the calling off of Dance Night. Let's appreciate that Cedar has taken her first step (no matter how little) to showcase and hone Cedar's own aesthetic talents. Maybe you might not have realised, but Cedar Dance has come a long way, and the fact that we were given a chance to have our own dance night at first already means something.
For those who didn't manage to get through the auditions for contemp, or didn't get the chance to take part in Arts Fest, please don't be too sad too. You will all get a chance for SYF '11, and hopefully, Dance Night '12. :) You've tried your best, & you deserve a pat on the back!
Dancers, let's put in our best for Arts Fest, no matter how tiring, or painful. Do we want to do it? I know some of us really want it that bad, and I hope we'll all put in our best for it. :)

ARTS FESTIVAL!
It's called
Cedar Dancity. KEWL right?
Date: 22 April 2010, Thursday (cannot change date)
Time: Most probably 7pm to 8pm
It's a collaboration with Malay and Indian Dance. The three CCAs will be performing together, and it's ticketed. We'll do our level cheoreographies, that's why it must be ready by
24 March!
But Dance Night will be

Date/time: Most prob 16 & 17 July, Fri night & Sat afternoon (sorry jolene, Miss Siew can't change to 8 & 9, cause there's Meet The Parent Session.)
And your dance tees are in the midst of completion, actually not really, only the design. BUT HAVE PATIENCE AND WAIT OK. :) I'll upload the pic once it's ready. Changed it abit. There's no more 'Dancers in midst', but there's 3 figurines and pulse and a heart. Any objections?
And what do you guys prefer:

Hi dancers! :)I've a few things to inform you all about, here they are:
1) LEVEL DANCE ITEMSSec2-4s, you are reminded to try to complete your choreography by 24th March, which is the wednesday after the march holidays. We will show Laoshi our choreography again then.
Sec1s, you are reminded to try your best to choreograph a little of what you would like to show laoshi on 24th March too! :)
2) ARTS FESTIVALSec2-4s, it has been decided that the date for Arts Fest this year is on the 22th April, Thursday. Timing has yet to be confirmed.
We'll try to arrange for an alternative date as it's not the best choice to perform on a Thurs night, but tentatively (more or less) it's on the 22th April, just to let you all know. :)
3) TICKETS ORDERPlease check the compiled list of dancers going for each performance, and if you wanna make any changes,
inform your relay leaders, and relay leaders please inform me by 8pm tmr (5th march)!
*no more changes after 8pm.
