dearest cedar modern dancers,
it's 20th April and some of us just reached home like, 2 hours ago after dance prac, and yes i know we're all so tired!
omg, my eyelids are like, drooping as i type this, haha.
anyways, i would've liked to text all of you, but my phone is under repair (due to silly damages) and i can't mass text everyone, sooooo..
i'll say it here :)

for those not performing for arts fest:
its 2 more days till your friends are performing,
remember to support them by encouraging them and coming for dance night ok :)
And, always always remember, walls between you and what you want were created to be broken by those who want it badly enough.
you will have many many other chances, and fight for them. :)
(not literally fight ok!)


for the performers:
2 more days till the big day.
2 more days till we hit the stage and shine for the 5 minutes.
for those 5 minutes, we have perspired, bled, fell, laughed, cried or even lost hope.
for those 5 minutes, we have sprained our ankles, injured our backs, hip, gotten countless MCs, endured long practices, endured gastric pains, menstrual cramps.
for those 5 minutes, we could have neglected our other commitments, triggered tension amongst ourselves, lost hope in others, lost hope in us.

but i just want to tell you, honestly, dancers,
YOU ARE AMAZING. (im not saying because i have to, im saying it cos i mean it)
no one is you-er than you.
you're all special, you're all awesome.

what are we?
we are cedar dance.
we can do anything we put out minds to.
we create our own spotlights.
we are worth each and every of the 400 tickets.

the hard work, sweat, drilling and tears will pull off.
and for those 5 minutes of dance, you will finally feel it in each of you dancing toes.
for those 5 minutes of dance, enjoy it.
for each round of applause, you will feel the pride you deserve.


dancers, all i can say now, is
thank you for all your hard work,
and all i want for you now is to
savour the dance, live in the moment.
with each step you take, each move you make, each beat the music plays, each clap the audience applauds,
enjoy the dance.
enjoy dancing.
cos that's really all that matters. (really!!)
