Hello Dancers, it's been a really long time, and like what Jolene said, we really havent had the chance to say a proper goodbye. So now here we are, penning down what we really want to say to you.
To tell the truth, being the President of Cedar Dance wasn't easy. There were times when i didn't want to commit to the role anymore, but seeing all of you put in effort and doing your best into the dance inspired me and gave me the motivation to go on. So listen to Irene and Denise ok! And continuing giving your best! :)
You know, going back the other day to watch you guys dance was heartwarming. All of you were enjoying yourselves, and lao shi was so happy, which makes me happy too! Yea, continue having fun and enjoying yourselves in dance ok, cause that's the most imporant thing. I always believe in having passion for something you do, cause that's when you do your thing best.
Enjoy the process + putting in your heart and soul (really, must feel the dance) = ENERGY!So Sec 3s, 2s and 1s, when you dance, just dance.
"Dance first, think later, that's the natural order"
At first i didn't really understand this quote, but after an incident, i did. So i learnt to just put all my other troubles aside when i'm dancing so that i can give my best. Haha, i'm like trying to explain the meanings of the quotes to you.
And i really saw improvements in all of you! YAY! KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!
Lastly, I LOVE CEDAR DANCE, cause we are like a family, cause we share the same passion, cause that's how we click. So Dancers, I hope you will love Cedar Dance too! (Yea, sometimes i still blast the music and dance in front of anything that can show me my reflection. Therefore i will always be a dancer.)
So Dancers, work with your new Pres and Vice and Secetary and dance mates and make more memories! Cedar Dance will have GOLD WITH HONOURS AGAIN, not just because we see the title as the most important thing and dance like mad just to get it,
but because we the dance is just like a part of our soul- we feel it and are so immeresed in it and before we know it, here's our GWH. :) (of course, still must work hard for it)LOVE, Xin Yun :)

Dearest Dancers, OMGAHHH I MISS CEDAR DANCE SO MUCH!!
I think it's quite impossible to put into words how i yearn to still be a part of you guys :(
Anyway, so Leaders' Investiture '10 was just over and XY and I have officially stepped down..
So, a round of applause to your new sexy leaders Irene and Denise! :D
Sorry we never really had a proper chance to like, officially say goodbye to everyone, time just flies past too fast for us to stop and think.
Everything began and ended so abruptly; from last year's rushed Open house booth and performance, then onto preparations for Dancity which was pushed forward, and I do feel a tinge of sadness I never really did bid farewell to CMD.
So looking back on what we've done, what we've been through, I have some things to say, so bear with me :)
It's been crazy. The early days of
2007 - Do you remember, sec4s? It seems ancient now, those bhangra days, the "OMG-LOOK-AT-OUR-SENIORS-DANCE" days.. and those days where dance prac didnt seem all that great, YET. Not to forget the HSM My School Rocks competition, thanks for putting up with my insane moodswingy temperament, and for not killing me while i was being a jerk. Of course, we've had our ups and downs too, but with lovely memories, how can i not freaking love you sec4s!!!!
2008, and the black-badged juniors set foot into the AS as CMDancers. Initially not all that close, I am glad that we've indeed fostered stronger bonds. With SYF 09, such memories will never leave my internal hard drive. With hair-drama, tears and of course laughter, seriously. You're all IRREPLACABLE.
Then comes
2009, with yet another batch of juniors, and then suddenly XY and I were left to lead CMD. With Open House, memories of us all dancing together kept my spirits high throughout this year in Cedar, and it was a pleasure to be a part of that family. CMD keeps me going. :)
And now's
2010, with another lovely batch of sec1s. Cedar Dancity was a blast and I'm really glad I got to know some of you better, and shared the joy of being in CMD with each other. With the hype about Dancity, I have had a gazillion magic moments with all you dancers, and I'll always treasure it.
Thankyou sec4s, for being the best batchmates ever. :) Thankyou for the countless memories dancing, laughing, crying, mugging, choreographing, and cutting hair together.

Thankyou sec3s, for being immensely crazy and wonderful to have around. :) Thankyou for always dancing your heart out and bearing with me. :) You guys, stay together ok! Be like the puzzle pieces of Cedar Dance. :)
Thankyou sec2s, for always being sweet and fun to be with. :) Thankyou for always giving your best. Have confidence in yourselves, you all make great dancers! :)
Thankyou sec1s, for always being enthusiastic and lovely to guide. :) You are an inspiration to us and continue to work hard. :)
Thankyou dancers, for being a wonderful family to lead, and to be a part of.
It was a wonderful experience, and i am not exaggerating when I say it is magical.
It IS magical.
